Well let's see, I've painted/remodeled 3 rooms now. Only 3 left....... Hubby is gone until Saturday PM, so I tackled a project that we've talked about. I was tired of waiting (probably until end of the season) so I recruited a CHP wife/friend to help me. We started on Thursday (bought the paint & stuff), and started painting early Saturday morning. Sunday was a "Day of Rest", and yesterday it was WALL-LA finished. I put back all the furniture and placed everything (decor) back. I'm getting some new window treatments (tomorrow or Thursday) and so when he comes home, it will be all done. I'm hoping he likes it....... Like I said we talked about colors, but I chose it with my friend (it's all her fault if he doesn't like it...hahaha).
Our poor husbands. If you are anything like me (most of you probably are) then you can relate to doing "house projects" when they are gone. The joke between us, is "every fire assignment leads to a new color of paint." So share with me, what have you done when hubby is gone???

Hello! I came across this blog and just thought I would say Hello! I am not married to my firefighter yet, but I only have about 10 and a half months to go before I am a full-time firefighter's wife. My fiance hasn't even been a firefighter for one year yet and I am already feeling all the crazy things that come along with being a firefighter's wife! I plan to read this blog a lot for advice and support for my adventures in loving and supporting my man!
I start my cake decorating class tonight and have signed up for ballroom and salsa classes :)
Totally makes the time go by faster!
The most recent adventure was dragging our full size treadmill in from the garage through the front door. After ripping a large hole in the screen door I remembered one of the reasons my hubby wanted it in the garage. It's great to be able to watch tv while I walk though.
In the past I have bought new curtains and comforter sets along with a new bed frame. I havn't changed any paint colors yet but I think the next fire I will paint the bathroom. I would like a new faucet too but we will see if I'm brave enough to try it on my own.
Merci
