Happy Father's Day!

To my Father,
I thank you for all your hard work. For the long hours you've put in to provide a nice life for me. Thank you for loving Mom, and always having hugs for us. I thank you for your strong arms to hold me when I ran to you when you came home from your shifts. Thank you for never complaining (at least in front of us), but showing us your dedication. Work is important, but you made it to all of our important events and accomplishments (even if you brought your fire truck & FFs). It is such a wonderful feeling when I tell people, "my dad's a fireman". When I tell people my last name (maiden name, now) they know who I am, because of you. People know you for your dedication, your honesty, your leadership and your knowledge. If only the younger generation of WFF knew you and all you did for the department, they'd appreciate you, too. They haven't had the opportunity to work under your leadership. They haven't had the chance to go into a dangerous fire, with you leading them with safety first. I am so proud of you. When mom drove us uptown to see you go code 3 through town, on the way to a fire, I felt so proud. I wanted to shout out to the town, "That's my dad." When I hear your voice on the radio I am so proud of you. You have been such a wonderful role model. Thank you for everything you have taught me. Thank you for being not just my Dad, but an amazing FATHER. For it any man can be a Dad, but only special men get the honor of being a Father.

So I wish you a HAPPY FATHER'S DAY now!

With Love,

Your Daughter

**PS- My husband & I don't have children yet, so I wrote this to my Father. I hope you share with your husband or dad just how much you appreciate them and all they do for your family**
