So this little post I've come up with is a bit on the humor side of being a WFF wife. Hubby has been gone for 2 weeks on this fire assignment. Our son threw something up and broke a blade off our ceiling fan. After talking with hubby on the phone and telling him what happened, he said he thought we had some extra blades in the closet. So I got into the closet, found it and grabbed a screwdriver out of his tool box. As I was fixing the fan, I thought to myself, "gosh as a WFF wife, I can fix things, clean things, take care of the child(ren), cook and help take care of our yard." I'm not at all saying that hubby doesn't do those things, but during fire season, as a WFF wife, you have to know how to and be willing to do all of those things. I find myself thinking, "oh I'll just leave it until he gets home..." but then I think to myself, "well if it's done/fixed by the time he gets home, then we get to spend more family time doing fun things. So as an answer to the blog question: What do these things have in common?? A screwdriver, a mop, a diaper, a spatula and a lawnmower = duties of a thankful WFF wife!!
I say thankful, because especially as a stay-at-home-mom I feel blessed to know the hard work, extreme conditions and lack of sleep my WFF does is for our family to have nice things. We love our WFF Daddy & Husband!!!
