Were you scared?

Last night when I spoke with my husband, I asked him "were you scared?" He said, "NO" but I'm glad we had scoped out the safety routes before the chaos happened. We had plenty of time to get out, but it was heading towards us. Well, maybe he says that to calm my mind, but I know that fire (in that situation) doesn't move slowly. Then this afternoon I found a picture on the inciweb which well, it explains itself.

I guess I know why I'm a housewife (aka "DOMESTIC GODDESS"), cause the sight of that would scare the bigibees out of me if I were a firefighter. My husband did say that it can be very noisy (flames crackling & trees popping). If he is or has ever been scared, he is doing a great job at not letting me see it. That is a blessing in itself, to have a husband who will share what he does at work, but not all the details.

I'm with you on not wanting to know what they are doing out there. Whenever Johnny was doing HELCO, he always told the crew to lie to me and tell me that he was anywhere but doing that. I hated him doing that job and it was the job he loved doing best - go figure! Love to you and Jim!!
