A new haircut

In our home we have this "fire season" ritual of a new haircut. Well, actually it's not NEW it's just a new one for the year. My husband doesn't have long hair, but grows his hair out for off-season months. He styles it and makes it look nice. However, once you start wearing those hot helmets, that make your head sweat, hair styling just doesn't work. So yesterday afternoon, he said "well I think it's time for the clippers." I don't know how many of you can relate, but I have always used the clippers (with a guard) to shave his head. So yesterday afternoon I buzzed his hair and swept up the clippings. He joked and said "okay you're next." My hair is down to the middle of my back, so shall we say "um NO."
But on the flip side of things, there have been days when I've had "bad hair" days and have considered it. I don't want this to happen to me by any means, and I'm not making fun of anyone who does this. I have a friend who's going through chemo-therapy for cancer and has lost all of her hair. She has some amazing wigs, that are styled really cute. I said to her "you are one hottie with all those styles." She laughed and said "and I used no hairspray!" I guess it's good to find humor in many situations, even sad ones.
Happy Sunday! I pray that you have a safe week and wherever your husbands are, they too are safe!

Same at our house- every weekend.
He started shaving his head since before the academy started to get used to the lack of hair. HA!
