Okay I'm beginning to worry if my fellow fireman's wives have vanished. I know it's been a slow season and many of us have husband's around more than usual, but hopefully you haven't given up on our blog. I hope and pray that you are all safe and your husbands/boyfriends are safe, too. Things are beginning to pick up with all the lightning activity in the Southwest and parts of Montana. It is definetly a late season and not usual. So tonight I am wondering if you are out there and what's on your minds. Just some things that make you go hmm.....
Also, on a side note kudos to the wife of the Sierra Hotshot FF who shared her story of being a WFF wife on Where's there's smoke. It was a documentary about WFF in California. I didn't catch her name, but hopefully she follows this blog and knows who she is. She did so amazing sharing the challenges we face as wives and as moms. When the guys are gone, then come home again, it is an adjustment for everyone in the home. Anyways, it was on Dishnetwork's DOCUMENTARY channel. Way to go!!!
My husband is off to one of the lightning fires in Southern CA. So it is beginning to feel like fireseason. Not to mention the extreme temperatures we've been enduring. Days like these make me appreciate winter days more.
