I am looking for some helpful tips on having children. My husband & I are new parents and he's been home more than usual this season. He has had a lot of time with his son, and has a routine of playtime at night and watching Thomas the Train before bedtime. Normally the fire assignments are 14 days, but this assignment he's on, has been extended to a minimun 21 days and possible 30 days. He is feeling very homesick. I send him pictures everyday and we also talk on the phone and SKYPE as often as we can.
Do you have any suggestions for making those long assignments for the guys not so hard on missing the family??
