Memories of growing up next to the Station

I think I may have posted this awhile ago, but here it is again.  We are privileged to live on the Forest Service compound, where hubby works.  It's nice to have him so close, because he comes home for lunch (when he's not on a fire) and the kids & I walk down the road to meet him at the end of the day. We have so much family time!!!

This is the second week of critical training for his Hotshot crew.  He told the kids & I that this morning they were going to go on a big hike, but the beginning was up the road by our house.  So the kids were so excited to see them walking up the road past the house.  Hubby said as they started up the driveway, he could hear our daughter......."Here they come!!"  Not many kids will grow up with memories of "compound living" and being part of Daddy's job.  All of the firefighters on the crew and on the engine, know our kids by name.  So cool!!!  Anyways, I wanted to share these pictures of these great moments our kids have.

Daddy (the crew Superintendent) is in the lead

You could hear their boots hitting the pavement as they walked by the house.  So neat.

Up the road they go!!
