As a Wildland Firefighter's Wife, I feel it is only appropriate to add my words to the WFF community as they deal with the passing of Tom Marovich, a firefighter on the Modoc National Forest. He was working with the Chester Helitack Crew from the Lassen National Forest. So young, only 20 years old, with a career in the Forest Service just beginning. Such an honor though all of the postings on http://wildlandfire.com/ (THEY SAID) from his supervisors.
So from the Wildland Fire Fighter Wives blog, our condolences to the family and crew of Tom.
If you are not a member of the 52 club and the Wildland Firefighter Foundation, now is the time to read about it: http://www.wffoundation.org/ and become a member. Spouses, parents and friends can join, not just the firefighters. It's only $1.00 a week.
As a wife, I pray that I never have to experience this..... but God is in control!
