Just a note to those of you who are new to the blog. When fire season slows down, I slow down on my blog posts. This would explain why it's been a while since I've posted. My husband's crew has been home, and nationally there isn't much going on in the world of wildland fires.
As most of you know, the Hotshot Prayer that I wrote a few years ago, went viral after the Yarnell tragedy that killed 19 Granite Mountain Hotshots. I feel so honored to know that the words that came from my heart, have helped others. When I wrote this prayer, I never intended to become famous, especially in this way. Well, it's a long story, but in a few days, Ann Curry from NBC New York will be traveling to our hometown area, to interview both my husband and I. I'm not sure when it will air, but as soon as I know, I will post the date.

Just to introduce myself. My husband is a wildland firefighter as well. I just wondered how your interview went. I just finished watching http://www.outsideonline.com/outdoor-adventure/nature/YarnellFire.html . It just gives me chills.
